Project
We make functional pieces because we believe daily rituals of engagement with well-crafted objects and beautiful materials enriches both our homes and our lives. These objects are to be cherished across generations, to continue their long journey through time.
Process
Giant’s Orchestra came about through chance meetings in a coastal community near Whangārei, in the north of Aotearoa/New Zealand. We have grown into a small collective of designers and makers stretching from Aotearoa to Germany and between. Our process is collaborative, sparked by materials, and expressed in clear and candid forms. Ideas and sketches are shared across the workshop bench and across hemispheres.
People
Our team consists of a fixed group of people in Aotearoa/New Zealand and Germany as well as collaborators and supporters who might chose to join us temporarily or longterm.
