Creating an orb is a process of seeking purity of form by hand, by physically engaging with the particular wood selected for the piece. Each orb is shaped with chainsaw slices and hand tools, a thousand pushes and pulls to create a perfect circular surface.
An orb reveals a thousand years of light, captured and compressed in the grain of the timber, inviting reflection and contemplation. This piece communicates the volume and weight of an older world.
